Repair NetworkProcedure for replacing faulty mail server 1. Back up all mailboxes or get all users to retrieve their email and make a backup on their local machine? 2. Ask ISP to add round robin server or extend delay to mail delivery 3. Add DNS MX record for new mail server 4. Configure new mail server for original mail boxes, restore data if applicable. 5. Change DNS A record for original mail server so it refers to new mail server. 6. Ask ISP to reduce delay to mail delivery on round robin server. |
