Repair Network

Active directory clients regularly fail to connect with their global catalog server or timeserver because of a time synchronisation issue even though the workstation and server times are the same

One quick solution at the workstation is to log on to the local machine as Administrator. Then, using the commmand console (MSDOS to some users) type

Net time \\yourservername /set

Your workstation should respond with

The current local clock is 6/19/2007 8:38 AM
Do you want to set the local computers time to match the
time at \\yourservername (Y/N) [Y]:

You need to type y and press enter to confirm

NB your local and network adminstrator password should be consistent
